Raed M. Raed M. Alnajjar, MD, FACS, FACC, is a 1997-graduate of the University of Jordan in Amman, Jordan. His postgraduate training includes an internship conducted at Jordan University Hospital in Amman, Jordan (1997 – 1998) and a general surgery residency served at the Islamic Hospital in Amman, Jordan (1998 – 2002). Dr. Alnajjar then worked as general surgeon with the Saad Specialist Hospital in Jordan (2002 – 2005) prior to relocating to the United States, where he completed a general surgery residency at St Joseph Mercy Oakland (2005 – 2010) and a cardiothoracic surgery residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX (2010 – 2013). Dr. Alnajjar attained board certification in general surgery with the American Board of Surgery and became board certified in cardiothoracic surgery with the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. He received the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland Certificate (MRCSI) in 2003, the Jordanian Board Certificate in General Surgery in 2003, and the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) Certificate in 1998.
